Some of us experienced some scary weather last week – which has caused quite a few of us to be without power. Luckily, we don’t need electricity to knit or crochet!
For those of us with chilly feet, knitting a quick pair of easy slippers is just the ticket. The pattern is designed for Bernat Super Value yarn, but some of the Bernat Forum members are just using scraps of worsted weight yarn. The slippers are warm either way. The Bernat Mosaic Carolinian Shawl KAL is still active, and our shawls will definitely keep us toasty, as well as adding some glamour to our wardrobe!
Other Bernat crafters are making beautiful blankets to wrap themselves up in warmth from head to toe. Karenarp used Bernat’s Peacock Feathers Afghan pattern to create hers. Gorgeous! For an original edging on her blanket, she used another Bernat pattern (the border from the Mermaid Tears Purse). Wasn’t that a clever way to personalize her blanket?
Which Bernat patterns and/or yarns are you using right now? What kinds of projects are you making for the Fall season?
