Yay!  It’s almost time for Fall!  The air is getting that crunchy, crispy feel to it again.  :)   And there is a smell in the air telling us that cooler weather is on its way.   Pretty soon, it will be time to get out the scarves, mittens, hats, wraps, blankets, cardigans, pullovers, and jackets! This month Bernat Softee Chunky is on sale at the online shop and is perfect for your fall-to-winter accessories and garments and household items.

We could use YOUR input in the forum as well!  Come join us in some of our other CALs and KALs.  Some of us are designing our own blanket.  Others are learning to knit socks for the first time.  There are also some knitters and crocheters who are still finishing up their 2012 Mystery Blankets.  Most of the time, we discuss our projects, but occasionally we end up talking about things that have NOTHING to do with our yarn.

We are making plans for new knit-alongs and crochet-alongs in the Bernat Forum.  What kinds of projects would you like to make for the Fall?  Come to the forum, and let us know!

Some people have even started doing their Christmas knitting, because it’s only 3 months away!  What other holidays will you be celebrating for the rest of 2012?  Are you planning on knitting or crocheting anything special for those events? Which Bernat yarns and patterns will work for your needs?  Is there a new pattern that you wish Bernat would design?

Post your comments here, to let us all know about your knit/crochet plans and needs.  We want to get to know you better.

About shandeh

I started knitting in 2003, and it is now a major part of my life. In 2010, I learned how to crochet better as well, in the Bernat Mystery Blanket CAL. Now, I am confident with both crafts!

    Hi
I love knitting with softee chunky. Recently I knit a cable hat and cowl for my daughter in law. I would know like to knit some baby booties out of the softee chunky for baby shower gifts. The yarn is so soft and easy to work with. Do you know of any patterns for booties or a heavy sock using this yarn?
    Thank you!
    Carol

  2. My son in law is a surfer so for Christmas I am making him an
afghan with blocks of nautical symbols and intarsia surfer, sea
turtle, beach huts using shades of blue and green. I use cross
stitch patterns and adapt them to knitting.
