How cute is that?! Love the star blanket. I’m a beginner knitter and haven’t work much with polyester yarn. Would love to win this. Thanks.
My friend is having a “miracle baby” boy in September after many many years of heartbreak. She is in her forties and we are all so excited for her. I would love to make something very soft for the baby. I think every baby deserves a blanket and a teddy bear. I can’t wait to get started and I hope I win this contest. Thanks for the offering!
In baby yarns, I look for color and texture! Cannot have a rough or scratchy texture next to soft baby skin! Cannot have a garish-looking baby either!
My best friend just had a baby boy! I’ve been intending on knitting something for him and this would be a great start to a project for him!!!
I really like soft baby yarns in funky colors. I think making things in traditional soft colors like baby blue and baby pink is always classic and sweet, but finding unusual baby color is fun for a change of pace for baby.
I really like soft fuzzy yarn for baby stuff, especially something with a little bigger gauge like Pipsqueak.
I love the pattern book!! I will have to get it. I can not wait to try this yarn. It looks soft and fluffy! Love the baby blanket yarn!!
Love to use bernat baby yarns, the quality is always good.I am a new grandmother(2 months) enjoy making crocheted items for her.
I love to work in medium weight yarn for babies. I have crocheted 2 large baby blankets for my new grandbabies over the last 2 years and like to make them warm and snuggly soft so the wee ones are warm and cozy!
This yarn will be the perfect yarn to knit something for my newborn preemie granddaughter who has very dry skin. She needs a blankie made from it to have close to her to snuggle with! I just know that when it’s made with Bernat Pipsqueak it will be her favorite blankie!
Im loving these colors! I think colorismy top pick when looking for a yarn! Hope I win
Baby yarn must be soft and snuggly. Love Bernat yarns! I work mostly with worsted weight, except when making something for a baby. I enjoy pastels and bright colors just depends on my mood and the pattern I have chosen. I am an avid crocheter and an occasional knitter. Biggest preference when choosing yarn is that it does not split easily. I have picked up this yarn before and have thought of using it, but wasn’t enough of the color needed at the store I was in.
I would love this prize!! I just had a baby boy in June. What I look for most in yarns for him is softness and that they are easily washable.
I love using baby yarns to make socks. They come out thick & cushy, just perfect for house socks. I like a smooth, extra soft baby yarn. I look for bright colors and fun patterns. Pipsqueak is nice for blankets. Little scared to try it in socks because of the texture.
I look for durability that the baby blanket can be washed many times. They get dragged in strollers, layed down on all different kinds of ground, car seat and travels. I want them to last many years so that when the baby grows up it is still in good shape. I find that with Bernet products. I also like to turn the baby blanket into a pillow for the child when they are older so they can still hug it with the memories
This yarn looks really soft. I’d like to make some snowmen out of it.
For a baby yarn, I usually look for something soft, washable and brightly colored; I’m not a big pastel fan for babies, which rules out a lot of yarns. Light, bright colors like sky blue and yellow are fine, but not things like powder blue and pale yellow.
I’m going to be an aunt in October, so I looked at a lot of baby yarn recently.
thei looks really soft. It would make some cute snowbabies!
I love pipsqueak!! I made a circle afghan with the blue and white and it looked like I had made two different patterns, one on each side.
I would love to work with the yarn. it looks like such nice soft yarn and the patterns are so cute.
Lets see, I look for a light medium weight to bulky depending on what I am making. I love the softness of a baby yarn. While I enjoy the softer colors I would LOVE to see some bold colors too. It is hard to find something that is a little more “grown up” or boy, not baby boy. But I make what I can! I do love to make baby gifts tho. I even have 2 planned for the next few months!
Love how soft the Pipsqueak yarn. It is great that you have put out a book.. thank you sooooooooo much
How I would love to win this! The only yarn in my cache is worsted weight. I’ve got about 100 projects needed done and the top of the list is both my sons’ baby blankets. Both are toddlers now but they can never have enough blankies!
Oh my goodness, how cute is that pink bunny??? I love boulce yarns for stuffed toy making – it makes them extra soft and huggable. I also prefer bulky/super bulky yarns for baby blankets – they stitch up so fast and the end result is always something super soft and squishy!
This yarn looks so soft and fluffy! Would love to make some gifts for all of my friends’s babies with this!
My mother taught me how to crochet. She would crochet baby sweaters with matching booties and blankets for all the new babies in our family. She passed away last year and now it is my job (pleasure) to continue the tradition. I would to win this so that I can make my great niece a set for her arrival in february. Thanks for letting me enter your contest.
Would Love to win the yarn, it looks sooooo soft.
I love pipsqueak and would love to make something from the book for my god daughter.
so Soft!!!
This looks absolutely gorgeous. I knit for the little preemies in hospital and need a very soft yarn so their skin isn’t chaffed, lots of different pastel colours too – I can’t use pink or blue because that would restrict which ones the nurses could use i.e. being a neutral colour they could be used for either a boy or girl.
I love soft yarns. Especially baby yarns. They give so many options to what you are making and always soft and acceptable.
I love Bernat yarns. The colors are usually the right shades for baby items, depending on what I’ve decided to work on and in what color family. I’ve tried mixing different Bernat baby yarns in the same project, and so far it seems to work. I’m currently using my leftover Baby Coordinates to make a multi-color baby afghan.
I love bulky baby yarns so the project works up quickly. Yarn must be soft for baby and not shedding little fuzzies!
I would love to win this yarn, would use it to make baby afghan for charity. Thanks and keeping my fingers crossed.
I love baby yarn. It’s my favorite. I look for SUPER soft yarn, and I normally like to go for either organic cotton or something really fuzzy and snuggly. I’m actually currently making a baby blanket with Pipsqueak, and I love it! I would love to do some other baby projects with it!
Love baby stuff. New grandson and new grand niece. They will keep those needles busy. Nice additions.
So cute! Loved making a baby blanket with the Bernat Baby Blanket yarn and I would enjoy winning this yarn!
This looks really yummy! Generally I prefer bolder colors but once in a while it’s great to make something pastel. Love the ombres pictured.
Would love to try out some of these patterns with the new yarn! It looks super cute and fun to work with
I love soft yarn for babies that can be thrown in the washer and dryer and come out looking like new. For colors, pastels are fine but I love bright primary colors. I know many parents that want gender-neutral colors and primary colors are great for that.
Baby #2 on his way in Oct/Nov and would love to have baby yarn to make gorgeous baby things. This would be great!
I used Pipsqueak yarn to knit a baby afghan but decided not to give it away because the blanket did not turn out square. (as I worked on the afghan, my tension loosened quite a bit). When my daughter saw the blanket she wanted it anyway, and it turned out to be her son’s favorite blanket. He can’t sleep without it cuddled to his face. I ended up making my grandson a smaller version to keep at his daycare and then made him a bunny from the leftover yarn. The feel of this yarn is amazing. I now have adults asking me to make them blankets!
Love these. I have a niece due in December. So if I won I would have a lot of new ideas for things to make for her.
Love these yarns! There are so many baby items I need to make for friends and this yarn is so perfect for that!
Luv the bunny hooded blanket. This yarn looks awesome cant wait to give it a try..
I make baby afghans for the Women’s Shelter. I’d love to work with this soft yarn.
Would love some of this yarn! Looks like its so soft!!
In baby yarn my first priority is softness, followed by color choices. I like soft colors, but nothing too pale or washed out. I also look for something economically priced that is durable AND washable. This looks deliciously soft and colors are beautiful. I’m loving the patterns!
I love incredible softness in my baby yarns. I love the soft colours, wonderful tufts and medium weights when I choose baby yarn. I totally love the feel of the Pipsqueak yarn, so soft and squishy! I made the most adorable huggable toy ever using Pipsqueak and it was a complete success for my first ever toy. I have made some wonderful baby pillows too that were just too soft and comfortable for words.
The Pipsqueek yarns looks Fab! Crocheting for Babies is my passion. Thank goodness I have 2 Grandaughters! I would love to win the pattern book and Yarn. Bernat has so many cute baby and children patterns to choose from. It isn’t unusual for me to have 4 different projects going at the same time.
I have already knitted the hooded baby blanket in Pipsqueak for a gift–Mother was thrilled with the softness of the blanket.I liked how quickly it knitted up. I was born on Easter at 6AM(that is why I am fluffy)–used to think bunnies brought babies in your Easter basket and always hoped for a brother or sister in mine.LOVE,LOVE,LOVE bunnies — would so like to win the pipsqueak and book of patterns-my next project would be the bunny:)–can be for a boy or girl. Oh,one last thing,my sweet deceased husband(died on our daughter’s 9th b/d) knew how much I like Easter so when I was pregnant with one first daughter(due in May)he gave me a filled basket on Easter. She is 40 now and still the bunny leaves her Easter goodies in the basket I received before she was born.
Thank you for the giveaway! These are too cute, I need some baby yarns for Christmas projects. I have started getting stuff ready to start. I know I should have started like 2 months ago. Time has been going way too fast. I love to use the bernat yarns that they sell at wal mart. I used them in my latest craft and they are so soft and good quality. and a really great price. These would be so fun to add to my collection.
I would love to see a baby yarn, soft and fluffy in bold colors! Sometimes the baby is just the feel you need but baby usually means blah in color.
bernat is definitely my favorite yarn that i’ve used so far. i’m constantly trying to find new uses for it. i enjoy the easy with which is flows on my needles. this one looks pretty sweet as well. i enjoy the fact that i can find a nice variety of colors and that it feels so soft.
would love to try a new yarn for babies things
I’d love this! We are expecting a new baby due late September, and this yarn would be so soft and welcoming for him/her.
Ooooooo, this yarn looks really soft. It would make some nice gifts for baby showers. Love the ripple blanket & bunny patterns that are shown.
I love soft baby colors…. and the yarn is best when it is soft and fluffy, and not to thin…
The yarn of course always has to be soft and the weight depends upon the time of year the baby is born. I would really love to see more color varieties in baby yarn – bright blues, vivid purples, cherry reds etc.
I love this yarn and the patterns are absolutely adorable. I cannot wait to get my fingers in this yarn!
I would love more Pipsqueak in Baby, Baby! I am already making and afghan for my baby that is due in February and have already made a matching hat, since it will most likely be freezing out when I give birth. I look for yarn that is soft and love it when I can find soft yarn that is not made entirely out of acrylic/nylon. The colors just depend on the project I am doing at the time. I am also a beginning self-learner, so I am still experimenting with all kinds of yarns.
I made a granny square baby blanket in Pipsqueak and my niece loves it! She carries it around with her all the time!
I have three babies to crochet for (a set of twins and a singleton). This yarn would be perfect! Love the patterns too!
Ooooh, and I have 2 baby grand daughters I could knit up wonderful things for with this yarn!
I love soft yarn and have a new grandbaby to spoil
I love Bernt Softee Baby and baby blankets are my favorite item to crochet. I would love to try Pipsqueak!
Its gotta be soft, love baby yarn for that reason, even use baby yarn for adult stuff. And then colors, love the fun colors!
Can’t wait to try the new baby yarn. I love the crocodile stitch baby blanket – will try to make it next with some of the new yarn. Would love to win some too. :O)
I have a love/hate relationship with baby yarns. I love the softness but I hate that they are usually sport weight. I’m not that patient. I need instant gratification, so WW or larger is a must for me. I like the pastel colors but I wish they came in bolder colors too. I’m not just speaking of a specific brand, all brands tend to use sport weight and pastels for their baby yarns.
From the first time I used Pipsqueak, I have told everyone I know about it! I love the feel of it! I made my great grandson a sheep and a blanket with it. My Daughter a beanie and scarf, Baby beanies for the Freestore Christmas give-away (similar to toys for tots). I am also knitting myself a blanket (in my spare time). I want to make myself a set of bath towels and a shug and a sheet set for my bed for the winter months…and and and! ! I just can’t say enough about this yarn!
I like baby yarn that is soft, from sport to chunky weight and like having the option to use bright primary colours.
Such great colours! Can’t wait to try it.
I have a lot of babies coming into the family soon…I love them but I usually have to double them up because I am an impatient hooker!
I love baby yarns that are exceptionally soft and cozy and come in a wide range of colors, not just the typical baby pastels.
I would like some non traditional colored. While soft colors are nice it would be nice to work with something else!
These patterns look soo sweet. One of my niece’s is expecting her 2nd child in February and I am looking for something to make for this new little addition. I believe I could find something in this book
I have knitted 3 baby blankets using Pipsqueak. I love it! It works up great, does not knot and looks like a million bucks. I knew it was a winner when I had one of the mothers ask me to knit another blanket for her, her baby would not go to sleep with out her blanket, of course I knitted her one. The baby loves both blankets and fusses till one of the blankets is tucked in around her. Baby endorsed!
i bet this yarn would make an amazing star blanket…thats my fav bernat pattern
This yarn looks heavenly soft. I would love to win this!! I know lots of people with babies on the way!!
I love baby yarn! My only requirement when buying is that it must be easy to wash. No one likes a grimy blankie!
Love those baby colors!
Texture is definitely my first consideration in baby yarn. I’m always on the lookout for the “perfect” baby yarn. Next would be color and last weight. I have so many projects on my “to do” list I can always find a pattern to fit the weight if the texture is right and color is OK.
I am wondering what it would be like to make a bear out of “pipsqueak”! I think it would be fun.
I absolutely love the look of this new yarn! I love experimenting with textures. When it is baby yarn soft is important to me. So far, bernat baby is the softest I have found. Currently making a feather and fan with baby sport with white and denim marl with bernat pattern It is so soft and beautiful.
I enjoy making baby blankets, so what I look for in yarn depends on the pattern I plan to use. For babies, it always has to be soft, but thickness depends on the pattern. Colourwise, I like the soft baby colours, usually pink, blue, purple, or yellow.
I would really love to try out the pipsqueak yarn for all the up-coming babies around here!
I would love to give this yarn a try. A family member is having a baby in a couple of months and I’d love to surprise her with something soft and cuddly for the baby. And as others have said, I’d really like to see this in some bolder colors.
I can’t wait to try out the yarn.
I love the softness of baby yarn, the softer the better. I am looking forward to starting a project trying Pipsqueek.

I love super soft yarn and bernat has some of the best. My baby is due in 4 weeks and I have been hooking up a storm for her. Would love to be able to make her even more cute things! Thanks Bernat
My favorite things are knitting for babies and Bernat baby yarns. They always wash so well and keep their shape.
What do I look for in Baby Yarn: The feel of it (believe it or not, I find more scratchy baby yarn than not these days) and colors beyond the basic “baby colors” aka pastel. I want a variety of colors in super soft materials. Sadly, most baby yarns are the boring pale colors or scratchy.
Washable and soft
I love soft, cuddly yarns for baby items. I also want them to hold up to lots of washings. I love for my gifts to be used without fear of them wearing out in the wash.So far, all the baby gifts I’ve made with Bernat yarns have been loved, used, and passed down to the next baby!
Bernat Pipsqueak looks so soft! I can’t wait to try it out!
I like baby yarns to be soft, washable, and in happy, bright colours.
Pipsqueak is a great yarn. I made the mitered baby blanket with it last summer, and the recipients loved it.
Love baby projects…instant gratification! Have many new nieces and nephews coming this year!
I love the soft, thick baby yarns! I would love the star blanket pattern and the baby cocoon too! They all look really cozy for baby!
Would love to try Pipsqueak to make blankets for charity.
Just what a new Granny whose friends are also becoming grannies (and one great-gran!) needs.
Softness is MOST important and I always turn to Bernat Baby Softee – my all time favorite!
I love worsted and bulky weight yarn, i love all colors and i love to crochet
I like the softness of the yarn and the durability to be washed again and again. Lately I have been looking for brighter colors for baby knits, although nothing beats the classic look of pastels for newborns!
This yarn looks great. When I am doing baby projects I look for something that is soft and will wash easily. I know that many people don’t want to have to wash these items carefully when they have so much else going on. When it comes to colors I have been finding it hard to find neutral colors. So much is girl or boy anymore that it becomes hard to find two neutral colors to make something. Thanks for the chance to win!
I much prefer worsted & chunky/bulky weights for baby items over the more traditional DK(3) weight. So much more versatile and faster to knit up:) Would love to see some bright colors rather than just pastels:) I LOVE Pipsqueak!!
I like saturated colors, and good softness and durability when washing.
Usually use Satin for baby hats and blankets. I’m going to try the PipSqueak…it is so beautiful and as long as it’s buttery soft, it sounds wonderful.
What a lovely now yarn and patterns! I love working with soft cotton and polyester blends for my baby girl, since they are so durable and can take a beating in the washing machine. I love all colors, especially pinks! Thank you for the chance to win!
I like baby yarn that is soft and easy to use for quick gifts. Best colours are unisex like white with mixed colours.
When making anything baby softness is key! I love your baby blanket yarn it’s very thick (so a blanket takes no time to make) and soo soft. I have given away many of these and everyone loves them … plus the wash up great. Your new yarn looks like it’s just as soft only smaller … perfect for some hats and mittens for the little ones. I’d love to try it
Have had 3 new great-nieces born in the last 3 months and I’ve been busy knitting and crocheting outfits for them mostly out of Bernat Softee Baby. I would love to have some of the Pipsqueak to try!
I was just at the store and looked at the Berndt yarns for babies. I just now saw the rabbit made from pipsqueak, so I’m headed back to get the yarn!! Can’t wait to start this project!!
I LOVE Pipsqueak yarns. So soft and squishy! I’d love to win some of this yarn and I’d love to win the book too! Great product!
looks like this yarn will be fun to work with and comfy for baby too.
Aw, how cute is that earflap hat? Perfect for the new little nephew I’m expecting come January.
i love making baby blankets – i look for a yarn that will be soft to baby’s skin and not too heavy. i make baby blankets for all of my nieces and nephews as they and the spuses have babies. One year, we had 7 new baby boys born in our family. I got behind on my blanket making that year. right now, i have 3 nieces expecting.
I have a couple of skeins of this yarn and haven’t decided what to crochet with it yet. It is so soft and pretty. I think I may have to get a copy of the Bernat pattern book to see if there is anything else besides those cuddly blanket to crochet with this yarn. I’m sure my daughter would love to have some new blankets or clothes made out of it.
I have wanted to try this yarn, and am loving the star blankie.
I love bernat yarn… I use bernat on almost all of my projects… I love working with the handicrafter cotton. Now that we are trying to start a family I’ve been obsessed with the super soft baby yarns!
That yarn looks beautifully soft and delicately textured! Yum!
I saw this yarn in a store recently and it looks lovely. For baby items, I usually look for softness and ease of care.
Absolutely love the bunny pictured in the booklet! Can’t wait to make him for my daughter…She will love it!!! Wonderful giveaway, keeping my fingers crossed. : )
I love knitting for babies and when choosing wool i first go for texture – must be soft, then machine washable and finally colour. To find a yarn that was soft, machine washable and in appealing shades would be the jackpot.
I’ve just recently used this yarn when making a bunny rabbit hat for a newborn. This was the yarn I chose for the inside of the ears. Was a hit at the baby shower, I’m told.
I love crocheting baby things and look for texture, quality and nice soft colors. Pipsqueak will be a new yarn for me to try.
I look for something soft, but strong enough to hold up to lots of washing and drying. I also look for gender-neutral colors, as I often am too excited when I hear a pregnancy announcement from a friend to wait until they know the gender to start on their gift
My husband and I are trying to get pregnant, and I would love this super cute and soft yarn to make things for future baby!
I love a great texture for two reasons – First, it makes for a super soft “lovey” for the baby! Two, texture is crucial when it comes to making a quick project without the frustration of “dealing” with your yarn. I also love a lightweight blend that doesn’t start to weigh my larger projects down. Bright and fun colors a important.. because who wants a bland, boring baby gift?
I love to find soft baby yarns that are easy to work with and snuggly when finished! baby items are my favorite to knit, since they are so adorable when finished, and usually pretty quick to make since they are so little! the only thing I wish: make them in brighter colors too! babies in pastels are great, but what about a baby girl in hot pink or teal? it would be even more fun to be able to switch it up sometimes!
What fun yarn! Would love to make one if the baby items for my granddaughter!
I LOVE super soft yarns, for anything, not just baby items. I do think that soft hues of blue and pink are a bit dated for babies, and I rather enjoy bold, bright colours. But really, you can’t beat the classics! I would die if I won, and my 1 year old daughter would get some seriously soft amigurumi toys!
I love soft, fluffy, want-to-cuddle-in-it baby yarn.
)
It must be a soft yarn, both in texture and color! 3 of our friends had baby girls, and I would love to knit them something with that yarn!
I love to crochet baby blankets. It seems like all my friends are having babies and i make each of them a blanket. I would love to win this yarn so i can make more blankets for all the new babies in my life and for my daughter as well!!
Love, love, love making baby items – blankets, sweaters, booties. Great yarn – sooo soft.
I look for softness and definitely washability for easy care. I like bright colors rather than pastels.
Precious colors. Not only something that is soft and fluffy on baby’s skin but something that is soft and easy to work with for my hands as well!
I have a homebased business where my top sellers are baby beanies. I would love to be able to make some out of this gorgeous yarn. Id love to win!
I like softer baby yarns that won’t irritate a baby’s skin. The colours I prefer are pastel neutrals like mint green, soft orange, yellow, and ecru. I like light weight simple yarn that doesn’t have any fancy textures.
I love this yarn, I made my Granddaugther a blanket from this when she was born, It turned out really nice and soft. Would love to make the star blanket.
Excited to make something with this beautiful yarn!!!
I love this yarn! I make baby cocoons, hats and blankets and find this yarn so soft for the baby’s skin. I am always looking for new patterns and the book would be a great addition to my library!
I love crocheting baby blankets for family members and Project Linus. This yarn looks like it would make adorable afghans!
I absolutely LOVE Pipsqueak yarn. I make little “Ookpik” baby hats from the white. Ookpik is an Inuit word for white snowy owl. I trim them with either black or grey and they have become very popular with family and friends. I’d love to win this give-away.
This looks like a great baby yarn! Can’t wait to try some!
I love soft yarn for everything I do. I would not want buy something to cuddle up in or wear something scratchy so weather I am making something for myself or someone else, I always go for the softest possible. As far as colors go, I would love it if there were more baby yarns in non traditional colors like purple and red for example just for something different. I don’t think everything has to be pastel or yellow, green, blue, and pink. It would be nice to see baby yarn in something more fun in my opinion. I like heavy weighted yarn, but I’m also from the north where it gets very cold so when I am making blankets that is what I am preparing for, love the star one above by the way!
I love knitting baby afgans, hats and booties!
I really look for soft yarn when it comes to baby items……..this yarn looks wonderful!!
I love baby yarn! I love making cute things for family and friends.
I look for yarn that’s made of natural fibers in most cases, but in the case of making a warm blanket, I look for yarn that looks like it will launder well and has a soft texture. I love the colors of this yarn.
My daughter bought me the pipsqueak yarn and is really soft and they are avaliable in such pretty colors.
I love working with Bernat yarns. I have made many premmie hats for the local NICU and chemo hats for several friends. The yarn is so soft for premmie hats and new chemo patients. I have not worked with Pipsqueak yarn yet but I have some projects planned after seeing it.
I like arron weight #4. I like the baby yarn to be soft and wash & dryable. I love bright colors: red, yellow, green, blue, white, lavender, and a few I can not think of off the top of my head. I have never done anything for baby in bulky weight yarn. Would be interesting.
I love to give crochet keepsakes for baby gifts.
I love pipsqueak. I used it last winter for a baby blanket for my new niece. It’s sooooo soft!
I would love to win this! Lately there has been an almost non-stop rush of people at work having babies and I’ve been making things for every one of them. I could TOTALLY use this!!!
This new yarn looks to be soooooo soft and fluffy. AND I AM GOING TO BE A GREAT AUNT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 10 WEEKS!!!!!!! I would love to make something for the new baby with your new yarn.
With all yarn and especially baby yarn, it needs to be soft. I only use Bernat baby yarn. I would love to give the pipsqueak yarn a try. I use a lot of the Bernat baby fingering yarn and love it. I love the really big skeins of Bernat yarn that I have picked up at Joann’s. As for color, baby items need to be a soft color. But for toddlers on up I love bright colors.
Thanks for doing this give away.
Cheri
OOO I love baby patterns and yarns. This would be so great for my crochet guild charity projects!
I love pipsqueak yarn, super plush and amazingly soft. The name is cute too. I love making the hats, booties and blankets with this yarn.
I love soft baby yarns, the wt depends upon the project, but i love soft, the softer the better.
I look for bright colours, softness and texture. Baby knits are fun and fast to make
I love how soft this yarn is! I am using it for a baby gift project right now
I love the softness of this yarn!
Pipsqueak is definitively my best baby yarn at all!! I made the star blanket for a friend and it was so soft!! That is the most important thing for baby yarn: softness!!!
It looks soft enough to feel through the screen!
I knit a number of baby items each year. I look for yarn that is durable but very soft. I look for yarn that can be put in the washing machine as not mother or caretaker has the time to wash garments by hand or take to the dry cleaner.
I love it all. All patterns look fluffy, soft
& sweet. Love the blankets & the boy hat. Anxious to try anything new to crochet. Thanks for the chance
I’ve been doing quite a bit of baby knitting in the last several months!!! I look for soft & most importantly washable yarns that can withstand heavy use. I typically look for colors that the mother’s prefer, or colors that coordinate w/the baby’s nursery.
I just knit my first baby blanket this summer! I would ♥love♥ to use a “real” baby yarn for my next blanket (I used plain ol’ acrylic for the first one). I can’t wait to see (and feel) this new yarn in the shops!
Hello. Bernat has done it again. Another fabulous baby yarn to bring oohs & aahs from everyone that sees or touches this super soft yarn. Thanks again for making my projects look professional.
Pipsqueak is terrific for knitting plush and cuddly stuffed toys.
I love the soft cuddly yarns. I made an afghan out of the pipsqueak and it turned out nicely. Bold colors are very eye catching today.
This yarn looks so soft and cuddly!
Super cute yarn, hope I win! Haven’t worked with this yarn before.
Baby yarn must be soft, beautifully coloured, and stand up to repeated washings! Luckily, Bernat’s yarns fit all three criteria.
Adorable patterns! I really like that one with the zig zag star. Thanks!
I look for cute colorways (preferably variegated or self-striping), and washability. The colors make even a garter stitch blanket look fancier than it is
Thanks for the chance to win!!
I have used pipsqueak to make a rug if was wonderful to work with and feels real good on my feet. I would like to make a blanket with it for my new great grandson due in November 2012.Thanks for the giveaway.
I like to see bright colors, not just the standard baby colors. That is because I use baby yarn for knitted “adult” items such as scarves. I am sure this yarn will be used by me just for that purpose. It definitely looks like a yarn that you would want to cuddle close to the face.
Thanks for the chance lo win some soft, fluffy goodness.
This is my favorite yarn EVER!!!!
Love to snuggle up with this yarn!
When knitting for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren I look for yarns that are soft, warm and are machine wash and dry. We have a granddaughter coming next month so I’ve been making a lot of baby things, including a dress made with Bernat Baby Softee. I would like to try this yarn.
I was looking for a new yarn to try! This looks great. Even better if I could win the patterns!
We make prayer shawls from Pipsquak and they turn out great. Wish this yarn were available in more colors.
I look for ease of washing, great softness and great colors!
What a beautiful collection. Love it!!
My first grandchild was born in May – time to start knitting something warm! Love the colours!
This yarn looks so squishy! I have a grandchild coming in October, so I’m getting my hooks warmed up for some baby goodies.
I would love to have this yarn and books and extras I just had my first grandbaby her name is Rhylynn and would love to make a blanket and booties for her
Any soft yarn is great! I do prefer bright colors but don’t mind the pastel colors. I will try this yarn to make soft toys.
I can’t wait to make the trapper hat for my little guy. It looks so cute!
It looks so soft! Would love to get my hands on some. I have a nephew I have yet to make anything for. (I’m not really a terrible Aunt, really!)
I look for super soft yarn with very pale colors. I love a sea foam green and cream together.

I love how soft and cuddly pipsqueak looks, this might just be my next project!
I would love to make something for my niece as a Christmas gift, something special for her 1st Christmas!
This is my favorite yarn !! It is so soft and cuddly. I have 2 great niece’s being born this fall and can’t wait to start making things for them.
The Pipsqueak yarn is just too pretty for words! The unique texture in those subtly blended shades will create a “fun to stitch” project, and I am all about having fun when I knit. For my next baby blanket, I would choose the “Funny Bunny” blue, green and white blended yarn. I’ll use the Pipsqueak “Blanket with Hood” pattern, and at my knitting group meetings, I’ll refer to this project as my “BERNATHERAPY”.
I like using this yarn for baby cocoons,so soft and cuddly.
The bunny ears blanket would look adorable wrapped around our new baby boy. I’d also like to try to crochet the jacket. I’ve never been brave enough to try clothes before.
I haven’t tried this yarn yet although was happy to see that my LYS does have it. Thanks for all your tips.
I look for “crisp” colours in baby yarn, soft but not muted. Bulkier yarns should not shed while being knit and wash up without matting, It should feel soft not only while in the knitting process but after completion of the product as well. When I knit with a textured yarn I like the denser look of having the purl side as the outside of the sweater. The best part of using a chunkier yarn is that you get to see the finished product quicker!
Beautiful.. would love to try this yarn…
I have a baby shower gift d to plan and this would a perfect yarn to make a gift by hand with
It seems most patterns for baby are in worsted weight, so that makes it a little easier to find yarns. I think baby yarns need to be extra soft to the touch, and I would love to see more of a variety of colors – not just pastel
I look for thichker yarn (4 or larger) for most projects, and has to be super soft. Also love unisex colours, like yellows and greens.
This yarn looks so baby soft and inviting, I can’t wait to use it!!
I just found out I will be a first time grandmother this spring!!! I am so excited. I love to knit and crochet so I just had to check out the Bernat website. This yarn is so soft and the colors are so cute. It would be awesome to win this yarn.
This is a sad story, but true, nonetheless: A long-time friend of mine was raped, and she has decided to keep the baby. She is divorced, and having a bit of a hard time right now. I would love to use this pretty, soft-looking yarn, to make a few items for her baby.
I know you don’t have to believe this, but, God knows, it’s true. I would be so happy to win this, and I’d use it for her. Blessings and peace to you all.
P.S. I hope you aren’t offended, by this reply. Please don’t be.
I generally try to find baby yarns that are soft but don’t fall apart as I crochet with them. Furthermore, it’s important that I be able to find more gender neutral colors, rather than the standard pink and blue.
This yarn looks like a dream to knit with. I hope I win, I’ve got a new cousin and nephew to knit for!
Would enjoy making items for the new grandbaby
I love Bernat yarns! The baby yarns are so soft and lovely to work with, I have not worked with the Pipsqueak yet but I do love the colors and I have a grandbaby due in November! I see a couple of afghans in the book that I would love to make. I have a niece who just joined the family 2 weeks ago and I’d love to make her one as well! Wow!! So many possibilities!
I saw this in the store today & had to buys some! It is the softest yarn I have ever felt. I have my first grandbaby due in August & wanted to get started on an afghan. I don’t know what I’m doing yet, just that I HAVE to make one out of this!!! Wonderful yarn!! Thank you!
