Community Update

Hush little baby, lay down to rest,
So I can crochet a flutter sleeve vest.
If you stay quiet and don’t boo-hoo,
I will knit a cabled baby sack too.

These are just two of the new FREE baby patterns available on the Bernat website, as part of the August Bernat Baby Month event.  We will be making both patterns together HERE on the Bernat website.  Come join us on Aug 15th!

You’ll find the rest of the SIX new free baby patterns by taking a look at the latest Bernat Newsletter.   Of course, you’ll need some of Bernat’s soft baby yarns to make your sweet creations, so Bernat has a sale just for you – Buy 4 Bernat baby yarns, Get 1 FREE!

Every day this week, Vickie Howell has been sharing advice for crafty parents, which is pretty awesome since she is a busy parent herself.  So, if you think you are too overwhelmed with parenthood to have time for knitting or crochet, watch the Bernat Blog for encouragement and advice from Vickie.  You deserve time to relax and enjoy yarn crafting!

This week on Bernat’s Facebook page, there was a ”Name this Pattern Contest” for one of Bernat’s newest baby blanket designs.  When the name is chosen, the winner gets $25 worth of Bernat yarn!  It’s gonna be a tough decision, because there were over 1,200 blanket name suggestions on just the first day!

Next week, the Bernat Baby Month will continue, with more free patterns on Monday, yarn give-aways on Tuesday, and a Twitter party on Wednesday.  I wonder what ELSE will happen?

About shandeh

I started knitting in 2003, and it is now a major part of my life. In 2010, I learned how to crochet better as well, in the Bernat Mystery Blanket CAL. Now, I am confident with both crafts!
