Project – Wavy Ripple Blanket in Bernat Baby Coordinates

So are you making something for the Knit and Crochet-Along for Project Linus? I’m really enjoying the crochet wavy ripple blanket. The pattern repeat is easy to memorize and I’m loving the bright saturated colours of the yarn.
My only complaint: not sure how much I love the yarn itself. It looks pretty (have I mentioned how much I love the colors?). The blanket itself feels soft, but my hook keeps getting caught on the “bumpy” yarn. Maybe I should have subbed with a smoother yarn? Maybe I’ve been working with bulky yarn and big needles for too long?
Just the same, I’m still finding the project relaxing. And my blanket grows quickly. Here’s hoping it’ll be done by the end of the month.
By the way, in case you were wondering about that vest: yes, I did finish the belt and I wove in all the ends (now that was a task and a half). Whatcha think? Just the perfect layering item as the weather warms up.
