TWO Happy Feet!

Project – Mom’s Ankle Socks (knit)
Bernat Free Pattern (download here)
Yarn – Bernat Baby Cakes
Blogger – Shandeh

What a fun, fast knitting project!  Love my new comfy, bright, soft ankle socks. :)

The second sock went much faster than the first.  I was able to count the stripes on the first sock as I made the second one, making it much easier to measure.

They match perfectly!

I did make a small change to the design.  Instead of a rolled cuff, I did 5 rows of knit 1, purl 1 ribbing.  The cotton blend yarn I’m using doesn’t have a lot of stretch to it, so the ribbing helps to hold the sock on my foot.  If it stretches out too much with wearing, I will sew some rows of elastic thread all around the inside of the cuff.  Works like a charm!

Such a nice pair of bright, colorful ankle socks.  And I made them myself…..thanks to the Bernat yarn and pattern.  Awesome!
