Yippee!! Just finished making everything for my kitchen. Using Bernat Mosaic and Bernat Handicrafter Cotton yarns, I now have a pretty tea cosy, a doily to place under my hot teapot, a thick hand towel, and 4 nice dishcloths!

It took about a month to make everything, and it was completely worth it! Here are the details on each item:
Tea Cosy

Yarn: Bernat Mosaic in the color “Psychedelic”
Knitting Pattern: Tea Cosy (free pattern by Bernat)
Doily

Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in the color “Mod Blue”
Knitting Pattern: Doily Dishcloth (free pattern by Bernat)
Hand Towel

Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton in the colors “Mod Blue” and “Mod Twists”
Knitting Pattern: Started and ended using “Feather & Fan Dishcloth” pattern, then designed the rest myself
Corner to Corner Dishcloths

Mosaic Dishcloth

The last dishcloth was crocheted. I wanted to try learning the mitered technique, since I had never done that with crochet before. It was SO EASY! I’m glad I decided to learn it. It’s nice to finally get a bit of confidence with my crochet skills. I’m very secure in my knowledge of knitting, but it’s always good to learn new things!
Now that my set is complete, I don’t feel so bad about my old 1970′s kitchen. At least I have some colorful cloths to use while I’m in there. They put a nice smile on my face.
