I think I’m in love……with Bernat Baby Cakes yarn!

This month, I’m knitting a quick pair of comfy ankle socks to wear around the house.  Since I’m such a homebody, I rarely wear shoes.  But, I like to wear ankle socks, so my feet are somewhat protected from the occasional dry bread crumb on the floor.  And they keep my feet just warm enough, without making me feel too hot.

I found the perfect pattern on the Bernat website - ”Mom’s Ankle Socks“.

The design calls for worsted weight yarn, and I’ve been wanting to give the new Bernat Baby Cakes yarn a try.  I think this soft cotton/acrylic blend yarn should work well with the pattern.  The colors I’ve chosen to use should make some very bright and happy socks!  I just love the names of the colors:  “Punkin”, and “Tickled Pink”.  :)

This new yarn is SO soft and smooshy!  I just can’t wait to feel it wrapped all around my feet.  Yippee!
