No Ripping Out These Ripples

I’m still amazed at how fast this ripple afghan is going. It seems like every time I grab a new color I’m ready for the next one — which also means that it is keeping me interested. I’m trying to keep the stripes somewhat random but, as you might guess, I have a lot more green yarn than any other color. Plus, in my efforts to try to keep them random, they keep ending up more patterned than random. Maybe it’s for the best. At any rate, this afghan is really coming along — in fact, I hope to have a finished photo next time!

Isn’t it funny how HARD it is to do random? I’ve had the same issue: As soon as I try to be random, I get even more conscious of my color choices, thinking the randomness isn’t random enough! But then it’s not random any more!

lol – I know! I am thinking about taking a snippet of each yarn and putting them in a bag, then drawing one each time I need to change colors so that I can’t influence my own decision!
