Lacy Edging and Seams!

Project – Lace Edge Cardigan (knit)
Bernat Free Pattern (download here)
Yarn – Bernat Satin in Lavender
Blogger – Shandeh

After diligently working on my Bernat Satin Lace Edge Cardigan, all my cardigan pieces were finally complete, and ready for seaming! :)

But, before seaming, I had to do the lace edging on the front, and add a collar as well.

Here’s the lace edging while it was in progress:

When the edging was done, I got to work on the collar:

This cardigan has taken a lot longer to make than I originally planned.  I thought I could do it in a month, but it is actually taking two months.  The knot stitch is tedious, but beautiful.  And now, the lace edging is going quick!  The seaming is all that’s left, so now there is hope that I will actually wear my cardigan very soon!

Woo Hoo!

I hope you think the sweater was worth the time and effort. Because of this blog I have decided to make it also. Yours looks great by the way. I haven’t started mine yet. If you had a do-over, would you do this one again?

      Hi Bette!

I think the sweater is definitely worth the time invested. It has a beautiful texture, and looks expensive! The only thing I will do differently next time is to make it a size smaller.
