"Preemie Garter Stitch Set" Jacket & Bonnet- Bernat "Traditions" Pattern Book
I decided to use one of my smaller dolls to try the set on for size. The arms are too long for the doll, but they are probably the right size for a real, live preemie baby.
The set is not complete, though. I’m still making some booties and mitts. Believe it or not, it only takes ONE skein of Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn to make the entire Preemie Garter Stitch set from the “Traditions” pattern book. Currently, I have about half a skein left after finishing the jacket and bonnet. I bet I will have some yarn leftover after the booties and mitts, too.
Maybe I’ll use the rest of the yarn to make some simple squares for a small blanket as well. I have several skeins of the Bernat Baby Coordinates yarn in different colors. A basic “squares” blanket sounds like a good plan. Luckily, there is just such a pattern in that same “Traditions” pattern book. (thumbs up)
