Two of a Kind

Project –Fingerless Gloves

My fingerless gloves are finished! This was an easy project and a fun knit.  The cables every 4th row made the pattern interesting and easy to memorize at the same time.

The pattern was explicit about how many inches the cuff should be, how many inches of the pattern to repeat before starting the thumb hole etc.  However, when I’m knitting a pair of gloves (or anything else) I still find it important to measure the item on the needles against the first finished product to make sure they match.

How’d I do?

I love these gloves!  Aren’t they pretty?

They are so comfortable and they keep my hands warm while I type – which is exactly why I wanted them.  I imagine I’ll enjoy them for driving in the early fall or late spring when there is a little chill in the air but not enough to wear my “real gloves.”

My next project also involves two of a kind items – I can’t wait to share it with you!  Until then, happy knitting and crocheting :)
