Ultra Pink Brim

Not just pink…..ULTRA pink!  That’s what the yarn color is called, and it’s a very accurate description of this shade.  I remember wearing a blouse this color when I was a young lady in the 80′s.  (We called it “Hot Pink” back then.)  It went well with my red hair and complexion.  Now, my hair has naturally aged to blonde, so I bet this color will look even better on me.

I’ve finished the brim of my hat, so I’m about a third of the way through the pattern.  Here are my 4 inches of knitting.

While working the last row, I needed to do 8 increases, spaced evenly through the row.  I decided to do KFB (knit front & back) increases.  As usual, I was knitting in my craft room, while watching television.  That’s why you’ll hear TruTV playing in this video.   Ha!

The instructions call for placing a marker at the end of the row, so I grabbed one of my little plastic row markers and stuck it in the middle of the last row.

Now I’m starting the body of the hat, so I’m diving in, with my cable needle at the ready!

Bernat Berella 4 yarn has been discontinued.

I think a very nice substitute would be Bernat Super Value in “Super Pink” (shade #53416). You can see all the shades of Bernat Super Value here: http://www.bernat.com/product.php?LGC=supervalue
