Every Friday, we’ll be bringing you highlights from the Bernat Free Pattern Library. To get these great patterns you just need to log in to the site.

This week we’re showing you a sampling of the amazing ways you can include cables in your knits. Cables are easy to learn, and make a finished object look much more polished. Don’t be afraid to experiment with your favorite cable patterns, they’re easy to incorporate into other projects. Check out the Bernat Stitch Gallery for even more great cable stitches.

    Hello,
    Question concerning Bernat Blog.
    Re: Mystery Afghan Clue #3.
    Instead of measuring each square,
I knit each square ten lines times five
for a total of fifty so I would
not have to measure my squares each time
because quite often my kids have the ruler!
    (Math homework.)
Anyhow, with the third clue, how should
I knit it? I thought the pattern would
be in groups of ten but now it is fourteen.
    Any tips?
    Regards, ij aka Knitting Mama
